Reading

"The wicked plot against the righteous, and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming. The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken."

The Lord makes firm the steps of those who delight in him; though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord upholds them with his hand."

God uses everything

...and that surprised me. Every delusional thought ever birthed, turns out, can be used for the benefit of the grace receiver. Thankfully, I spent an entire year in an altered state of conciousness that would rival the aims of the most dedicated buddah out there.

Won't get into the details of how far off the beaten path I strangely, yet willingly wandered. But far. All, so it appears, so I can understand romance, become a better writer, and appreciate my husband on every level for the godsend he is. Cracked in two, I tell you!

But, climbing out gradually only to realize that I've lived a hell of an interesting year despite my better interests. Of which, there was less than the doctor would've ordered, but still amazingness, in spades.

Morning roost

Kids came downstairs to shower me with presents. So far a bookmark, a magnetic photo frame all crepe papered, and a handwritten card. Moms love these and conveniently so do I!!! Especially from the cutest curly-haired daughter you've ever given birth to.

Still waiting to open the rest of my bounty from adoring children, who I can't get enough of. Skipping church even, to maximize family appreciation time. And again, when summer gets here, I'm at my best. Nothing like family back in the nest.

Allowing-all power

Restraining myself into 1, 2, 3 (so far) order, doesn't come naturally. Because let's say, I preferred the thoughts just flung out there much better. So, I have to grow. And fit somehow into this new place, with these new cans and cannots and shouldn'ts and whatevers. Whatever.

At least, one foot still goes in front of the other.
